When I get to work behind the camera, I am not thinking about anything other than capturing a beautiful image of my subject as they are in that exact moment. Growth is happening as you read this, and it doesn't stop as long as you live. The beauty of photography rests in its ability to freeze time. We have more options for taking photos than ever before, and with digital photography being readily available, to hire a photographer you need to desire their unique and singular vision and perspective.
My goal is to capture the moments of your growth when you're with me. My vision is to break through cheesy smiles and get to who my subject is in a deeper way, then portray them as they are. My perspective involves as much light as possible, and my favorite took is sunlight bending through my lens. On cloudy days I tend to lean to a romantic and deep look, and use areas usually unavailable when the sun is out.
In 2010, I launched a little photography business to compensate my family's income and stay home with my first daughter. My favorite thing to do at the time was photographing my two year old daughter, and I found joy in capturing moments for other families as well. Before I realized what was happening, my business grew into a full time venture! However, I also had three children beginning school, and a nights and weekend job was not the ideal scenario, so I decided to step away.
After years spent only doing a session here or there, I am stepping back into the role I feel equipped, gifted, and alive in. With renewed energy, creativity, and understanding, I am excited to build my work around the connections in daily life.
My style remains technically clean, bright, ethereal, and joyful. Whether it's a day at the park with your family, the first days of newborn's life, the connections of a family game night, or the senior session a teen looks forward to for years, I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to provide high quality photography for each client I have the privilege to work with!
